Wedding REPORTAGE

Wedding reportage is the ideal photography style for capturing the true emotions of the couple and their guests. It focuses on natural, spontaneous moments rather than staged poses.

This approach allows the event to be documented in an authentic and flowing way, resulting in a visual story that reflects the intimate and personal essence of such a meaningful day.

I believe it’s spontaneity and emotional depth that turn wedding photography into a true visual narrative. That’s why I offer wedding reportages, so I can capture heartfelt moments and joyful celebrations without interrupting them, creating photos that continue to move you, even several years later.

Wedding REPORTAGE or TRADITIONAL/EDITORIAL style?

Let’s talk

Wedding reportage takes a storytelling approach, capturing the mood and genuine emotions of the day in a very discreet way. It’s perfect for couples who want an honest and emotionally engaging record of their wedding, full of unique and unposed moments.

Tailor-made WEDDING REPORTAGE

Choosing reportage doesn’t mean giving up control to the photographer. At least, not with me. It means we’ll carefully plan every detail together to create unforgettable photographs, images that will fill your album with memories you’ll love to revisit over and over again, with a smile and maybe even a few happy tears.

During our consultation, we’ll go over everything needed to make your photo service a success:

  • Special people to focus on
  • Specific locations for key shots
  • Meaningful moments in the ceremony and reception
  • Group photos to include
  • Posed shots planned at the right times
  • Close-ups of important details
  • Timelines to follow
  • Travel between venues for specific photos

A wedding photography service can be entirely reportage-style or include carefully planned shots as well.

In a pure reportage approach, photographers become almost invisible and shoot based on instinct and experience.

In a mixed approach (which is often the most balanced option) the photographer only steps in to direct when necessary, as agreed beforehand. Even when I take posed or group shots, I strive to keep them natural and authentic. I avoid stiff, unnatural poses unless you’re specifically looking for something more editorial—like fashion-inspired couple portraits or stylized group photos with a vintage or classic feel. And I never keep the couple away from their reception for long.
