The post-wedding PHOTO SHOOT

The post-wedding photo shoot is a unique opportunity to extend and enhance the emotions experienced on your wedding day. It’s the perfect occasion to create a photographic story that brings out the couple’s most playful and creative side, resulting in bold, artistic images.

I love organizing these shoots because they allow us to explore locations that would be unreachable on the wedding day, and to experiment with poses and styles that wouldn’t be possible during the ceremony or reception.

If you’d like to know more about how I approach post-wedding photography, you’ll find all the details on this page.

How a POST-WEDDING shoot works

Post-wedding photos, often referred to as a “trash the dress” session, are taken a few days, weeks, or even months after the wedding.

This kind of shoot lets the couple step into a completely different atmosphere and experiment with settings, poses, and styles that would be unthinkable on the actual wedding day.

A post-wedding photo session gives you the chance to create images that:

  • Are taken in locations that couldn’t be reached on the wedding day, usually because they were too far from the ceremony or reception venue. This opens the door to scenic or symbolic places like the seaside, the mountains, or the heart of a city.
  • Capture moments that might ruin your wedding outfits (hence the term “trash the dress”). For instance, you might dive into the ocean or lie down in a square or a field.
  • Are highly creative, photos that simply wouldn’t be doable on the wedding day due to time constraints or the need for special equipment that wouldn’t work in a traditional setting. It’s your chance to push the boundaries and add a unique, unforgettable touch to your wedding story.
