CIVIL wedding PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICE
A civil wedding gives couples the chance to personalize every detail of their ceremony, creating an event that fully reflects their personalities and style.
From the choice of location, ranging from the town hall to stunning villas or enchanting gardens, to the selection of music and readings, every element helps make this special moment truly unique.
The photography service for a civil wedding is essential to capture the authenticity and emotion of the day, allowing you to relive the magic of your “I do” for years to come.
Visually, a civil wedding can take place in three main types of locations:
- The town hall;
- The wedding venue (if officially designated as a civil ceremony location);
- Both the town hall and a second venue, if the legal ceremony takes place at the town hall and a symbolic one is held elsewhere.
Lately, I often photograph weddings where both ceremonies are held, legal and symbolic.
Couples may choose to have me capture just the event at the main venue (a villa, beach, farmhouse, hotel, castle, or charming village), or both the legal ceremony at the town hall and the full celebration at the chosen location, from the symbolic ceremony to the reception, often including the getting ready moments.
KEY MOMENTS of a MACIVIL WEDDING
A photographer must be familiar with every stage of both the legal and symbolic ceremonies to capture meaningful and emotional images.
Here are the main phases of a civil wedding:
- Arrival of the bride, with the groom and guests waiting;
- The groom greeting the bride;
- Couple’s entrance;
- Legal or symbolic ceremony;
- Speeches from family or friends;
- Exchange of vows;
- Ring exchange;
- Signing by the couple and witnesses.
After the ceremony and the signing of documents, we’ll take portraits of the couple with their families and witnesses, followed by the traditional rice throwing.
Then it’s time to enjoy the reception, during which I create a full reportage of the celebration along with some posed portraits.
