Photographer in Bologna
Looking for a photographer in Bologna? How about a Personal Photographer instead?
I’ve been working for many years as a professional photographer in Bologna, capturing and editing hundreds of weddings, family moments, corporate events, and portraits for professionals.
After spending several years in a photography studio right in the heart of the city, I decided to start my own business to offer a more tailored service, one that focuses on personalization and genuine care for each client.
That’s why I call myself a Personal Photographer: because at the center of my work there’s always the human connection, communication and empathy, combined with professionalism, precision, and the know-how I’ve built over more than 20 years in the world of photography.

Where to take photos in Bologna and the Province? Here’s my tips
Finding beautiful spots for photos in Bologna’s city center is surprisingly easy: the city is full of art, charm, and breathtaking corners.
Some of my favorite places are:
- Piazza Maggiore, with the stunning backdrops of Palazzo d’Accursio, Palazzo del Podestà, Palazzo Re Enzo, Palazzo dei Bianchi, the Basilica of San Petronio, and the Fountain of Neptune;
- Piazza Santo Stefano, also known as the “Square of the Seven Churches”;
- Via Rizzoli, with the iconic Two Towers;
- Via d’Azelio, famous for being home to the italian singer Lucio Dalla;
- Via degli Orefici and Via Pescherie Vecchie, where you’ll find typical shops and old artisan stores.
If you step outside the city center, Bologna’s province offers countless enchanting locations. A few of my favorites include:
- The Sanctuary of San Luca;
- Monte San Donato meadow;
- Parco della Chiusa and the Hermitage of Tizzano in Casalecchio di Reno;
- Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi in San Lazzaro di Savena;
- Piazza del Popolo and Piazzetta Betlemme (with Pellegrini’s frescoes) in San Giovanni in Persiceto;
- The charming towns of Pieve di Cento and San Pietro in Casale;
- The Castle and Museum of Rural Civilization in Bentivoglio.
Bologna and its surroundings truly offer a mix of urban and natural backdrops, you just have to pick the ones that best match the style of your photoshoot.
